The Canine Welfare Rescue Centre

As well as our pet hotel for dogs who are already loved, we also rescue and rehome dogs who need a lucky break and a loving home.

We take in our dogs through members of the public, who need to rehome thier pets, Sometimes through social services and sometimes through the emergency services when owners have passed away or had to go into long term care.

We keep the dogs until a new forever home is found, and therefore we have a non-destruction policy, which means that we have successfully rehomed hundreds of dogs in over 20 years of running.

Here are some of our current dogs who are in need of a new home:

This is Blue and he is looking for a new home.

Blue is great with other dogs and he enjoys walking with others.

He would love and active new home with someone who will love him!

Blue is clean in the house and he is very good on and off the lead.

Blue could be rehomed with...

This is Dilly. He is a lovely boy who is looking for a new home

Dilly has been castrated and he is house trained.

Dilly is a wonderful easy going boy who would make a wonderful addition to any home.

Dilly gets on well with other dogs ad would happily live with another.

This is Riley he is approx 2 years old and he has been castrated.

Riley came in to us as stray. He has a wonderful temperament and would make someone a wonderful addition to their family.

Riley gets on well very well with other dogs, big and small.

Riley loves going for...

This is Ted, He is looking for a new home.

When we got Ted in it was clear that he was in a bit of a muddle. He had flea's and ear infections. He also has needed two operations to correct the excess skin that was pushing down on his eyes making it hard for him to see a...

This is Rocky and he is looking for a new forever home.

Rocky regually goes home with one of our volunteers for overnight visits and 'fun days'.

Rocky is a very inquisitive boy but once within the home he settles and becomes very content after a short period of time.

What To Do Next?

If you have seen a dog that you like and you would like to meet them, please contact us either by phone or email.

We would also like for you to email us some pictures of your house and garden, this so we get an idea of the type of home that you could offer to one of our dogs.

We are open every day for viewing's between 11 am and 3pm,

Please call in advance.

Telephone - 01728 748422,

We do ask for an adoption fee. This is so that we can continue to help the dogs that are in our care.

As nearly all the dogs that come to us have not been spayed or castrated this is done before the dog is rehomed. However, if this has not been done at the time of the adoption, the responsibilty then passes onto the new owner.

Other Ways To Help

As well as money donations, we are always grateful for any donated items that are brought in. Whether it is items for the rescue dogs i.e blankets, toys, treats or unwanted leads etc, or sellable items for our fund raising events such as car boots, tombola's and raffles.

Thank You!
